George and I took a drive through Vermont over the weekend. We went to the Brattleboro farmer's market, had lunch in Chester, hiked at Okemo Mountain, stopped at Castle Hill in Cavendish and enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Leslie's Tavern in Rockingham, with Leslie as our waitress! These photos were taken along our way. Above is the cemetery in Chester, Vermont.

DaValliaThis shop in Chester is wonderful; "Vegan" purses, art, pottery, and jewelry. Outside of Chester is the family's second store with unique furniture made by the husband, Michael, and great jewelry made by his wife. Stop by, you will have a memorable experience like we did.

Hiking up Okemo MountainWe decided to take the chair lift half way up the mountain, then did the rest on foot. It was steep but beautiful.

Great Place!Leslie's is open for dinner, Wednesday through Sunday. The food is original, local and delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and and service is exceptional. The first person who mentions this to me will be George and my guest at Leslie's! We love it!
